Oscars 2013

Hi guys, 

Watching the Oscars is probably one of my favorite television events of the year. Last year I put together a list of my favorite dresses from the Oscars ceremony and I thought it would be fun to do it again this year!

I really loved Anne Hathaway´s beautiful  Prada dress. The back detail is so beautiful. Anne herself described the dress as "Business in the front, party in the back"

Anne´s costar, the wonderful Amanda Seyfried looked amazing as well in her Alexander McQueen dress. 

One of the highlights of the evening for me was 

Jennifer Aniston´s dream of a red dress. So beautiful. 

Nicole Kidman also looked amazing in her sequin dress

I really loved Salma Hayek´s beautiful dress....

... but Amy Adams dreamy gown was definitely one of my favorites. Such a romantic dress. 

And last but not least was Olivia Munn´s beautiful red dress. The gold embroidery makes it look very theatrical.

The absolute highlight for me was when the cast of Les Misérables got on stage to sing ( I am a huge Les Mis fan). How amazing do Anne and Amanda look in their dresses?

Weekend dressing

This here is my my perfect weekend outfit from one of my favorite shops: Topshop. If I had this I would wear it every weekend!( or this weekend here in oslo).   The colors look so good together. The beanie and the jeans keep it casual while the coat and the shoes make it just dressy enough. Love it!

Hi guys, 

This Friday I have a list for you over my four favorite food bloggers. I reccomend you add the to your blog list. 

1. David Liebovitz 

Living the sweet life in Paris, i love reading his posts and dream myself away to Paris. Who knows? maybe one day I will be living the sweet life in Paris myself. Maybe I´ll by the book and live the sweet Parisian life here in Iceland. 

2. Smitten kitchen 

All the recipes are so yummy ( although I have yet to try them) and the accompanying photos are really beautiful. 

3. Joy the baker

A lot of interesting recipes like for example pickle fries and vegan muffins. I really should get around to trying those out.

4. Eva Laufey Kjaran 

An icelandic blogger. I love her blog posts. She is so positive. I especially love all the cupcake recipes she posts. Tried baking a recipe for Cheesecake cupcakes once that turned out great.

I am so in love with the Dries van Noten Spring/Summer collection for 2013. Love the colors, prints and patterns. I think it´s  romantic ( flower printed chiffon) with a preppy twist (the tartan patterns). So beautiful and I would love to dress myself up in each of these looks!

Metallic leather

Hi guys,

I love leather and I love metallics, but there is  something about metallic leather that just brings it up to a whole new level. I really really love metallic leather. My favorite is the silver mini skirt from Asos. There are so many different ways to style metallic leather pieces, and they still will always look fresh. A true investment buy.

It´s an unusually grey Monday, started by oversleeping this morning but that´s nothing a large cup of coffee 

can´t fix. I am looking forward to a hectic week which will take me to Norway on Thursday  And as always my Paris obsession continues.......

Hi guys, 

Blogging really hasn´t been working out for me lately,  as I´ve been swamped with school work and other things. This outfit really makes me think of Paris, for some reason I am really obsessed with Paris these days, I guess it´s just because I miss it and I miss my family. I am determined to go to Paris this year, whether it be this summer or in the fall. Anyways I think this outfit is perfect for strolling along the streets of Paris (just add a beret and some red lipstick!), or just for Saturday night drinks. I like the Paris idea better.....

This jacket would really make the outfit for me, I can just picture myself wearing all this (and don´t forget the beret) walking along the Seine or at a café sipping coffee.

Foodie Friday: foodie movies

Hi guys, 
I have decided to devote Fridays to food. I love everything about food and cooking  so this is going to be a lot of fun, I hope you will enjoy it too. I´m going to kick things off with my five favorite foodie movies.


Chocolat

My all time favorite movie. Saw it for the first time when I was ten years old. I have watched it countless times since then and have yet to tire of it. Such a wonderful film and of course the very handsome Johnny Depp is a welcome bonus.

Ratatouille

Such a funny, cute movie, and any movie that happens in Paris is set to become a favorie of mine. 

Babette´s gæstebud

I saw this danish film in school some years ago and wasn ´t really interested in it. It wasn´t until recently that I saw it on television that I really truly enjoyed it. This is a moving story with some interesting character, and very interesting food!

julie and julia

I read the book tha Julie Powell wrote, prior to the film release . I enjoyed following along as she cooked her way through Julia Child´s famous book, Mastering the art of french cooking. It gave me the inspiration to do the same thing (although I have yet to start), after all: being half french I kind of have to...

Simply irresistible 

This one is also an old favorite of mine. Food becomes magic. Just my kind of thing.
